Why everyone keeps coming back.

Sop Mak Garang - Perdana is a culinary gem nestled in the heart of Pontianak Tenggara, West Kalimantan. This restaurant delivers an authentic Indonesian dining experience, specializing in local flavors that engage the senses and leave a lasting impression. While their menu spans a variety of traditional dishes, it’s the Sate Lemak that stands out as a true must-try — rich, tender, and infused with a complex blend of spices that mirror the timeless culinary heritage of the region.

Visitors often describe the atmosphere as cozy and inviting, making Sop Mak Garang the perfect spot to savor a meaningful meal with family or friends. The ambiance strikes a fine balance between lively and intimate, ideal for those who value great food without the distraction of overwhelming crowds. One guest shared how the satay reminded them of Lombok's special rembiga satay, a testament to the care and authenticity woven into each bite.

The service here reflects the same thoughtful attention as the cuisine, with attentive staff ready to cater to every need, ensuring that each dining experience feels personalized and welcoming. Customers have repeatedly praised the excellent service and consistent quality, reinforcing the restaurant’s reputation as a local favorite.

While the fresh fruit offerings occasionally vary in sweetness, it does little to detract from the overall dining pleasure. Rather, it points to the kitchen's commitment to fresh, well-sourced ingredients that complement the savory dishes perfectly.

From the moment you enter Sop Mak Garang - Perdana, the aromas, flavors, and ambiance combine to create a deeply satisfying, authentically Indonesian meal experience. It’s a place where every dish feels like a warm invitation to explore the rich tapestry of Kalimantan’s culinary traditions — leaving you eager to return for more.

I don't like crowds. So 4star for the atmosphere. For the food everything excellent, The satay reminds me of Lombok's special rembiga satay. Just a bit improvement on the fresh fruit, sometimes it's not sweet enough. Service is good, many crews are ready to serve our needs. Its recommended. Keep it up!

Must try the Sate Lemak!! its the ‘to die for’ food. sorry didnt photo the sate first, because it is so delicious until forgotten to take photo. Came from Singapore and was introduced by family to eat here. It was indeed a good recommendation. I believe the other food are nice too.

Sop Mak Garang Perdana is part of the old tradition in Pontianak where people enjoy eating bones with the meat still attached. The taste is good, although there are other places that might do it a little better. The only downside is that the ribs could be more tender and moist. Overall, the food is great. However, it's a bit annoying with so many people smoking carelessly around, which could use some improvement.
